The Police Special Fraud Unit (PSFU) in Ikoyi, Lagos, on Monday, received a royal delegation led by Olori Ashley Afolasade Ogunwusi, the Olori Ooni of Ife, in a visit aimed at fostering tradition, gender balance, and community development.
The visit, which took place at the Sunday Adewusi House, was hosted by the Commissioner of Police, CP Okunade Ronke Nurat, FSI, and had in attendance members of the unit’s management and team leaders.
During her address, Olori Ashley expressed admiration for CP Okunade’s leadership, noting her satisfaction with a woman at the helm of such a strategic unit. She emphasized her vision for women to play impactful roles in national development, particularly in areas such as community leadership and youth empowerment.
The Olori concluded with heartfelt prayers for the Commissioner, seeking divine guidance and strength for her in the discharge of her duties.
In her response, CP Okunade Ronke Nurat appreciated the Olori’s visit and underscored the role of traditional institutions in building public trust. She highlighted that women often lead with a deep sense of responsibility and reverence for God, adding that collaboration between cultural and law enforcement institutions is essential for national progress.
The Commissioner further commended the Olori for promoting cultural integration and leading conversations around community policing, girl child education, and gender inclusion.
The visit reflects a growing synergy between traditional institutions and security agencies in promoting national values, community engagement, and inclusive leadership.
