The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service is attending vehiculars accident involving a 20ft container trailer and a mini bus at the ill-famous Ojuelegba Bridge, Avenue, Surulere, Lagos.
A statement signed by the Director, Lagos State Fire and Service, Adeseye Margaret reads that the accident which was reported midday Sunday happened as the trailer lost control while ascending the bridge and ran into the popular korope bus which temporarily stopped at the entry of the bridge before turning its container on it.
The Agency alongside emergency responders recovered nine casualties which are two male and female children, four male and 3 females, who are adults while another adult female was rescued with injury to the hospital.
As human recovery operation concluded, efforts are however still ongoing to evacuate the remains of the vehicles to clear the ensuing gridlock as motorists are adviced to use alternative routes pending the conclusion of the operations.
