Nigerian budding rapper, Nwaiwu Kelechi, popularly known as ‘Krrystal’, on Thursday urged artistes to use their platforms in encouraging youths to participate fully in Saturday’s election to attain the needed change in the country.

Krrystal gave the advice in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos, on the release of his new song, titled, ‘Boogie Down’, produced by Waveman.

“I learnt in these past few weeks that no voice is louder or stronger than a people who have come together in unity to say enough is enough.

“If we come out en masse to vote, we can change the narrative and help build a stronger democratic institution,” he said.

He urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to cover up the loopholes seen during the presidential election.

“The presidential election was flawed by BVAS malfunction especially in the uploading of results, we hope to see a change.

“We want INEC to improve the transparency of election results and increase public confidence by making the BVAS work,“ he said.

According to Krrystal, ‘Boogie Down’ is his first attempt at recording in Amapiano sound and has been received well by the listeners.

“It is out on all platforms for you to enjoy.

“Hopefully, the widespread acceptance of my new song, ‘Boogie Down’, will propel my blistering talent to new heights,” he said.

Krrystal is a rapper, singer and songwriter from Imo. He was born and raised in Owerri, and studied Civil Engineering at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri.
