The Commanding Officer of Nigerian Navy Ship SOKOTO, Commander Adebayo Babatunde Mohammed, is undoubtedly an unusual man who likes to do unique things.

The affable high Naval personality attained the age of 40 on Saturday, March 25, 2023, and even prior to the D-Day, he had been celebrating the milestone in a remarkable way.

Born on 25 March 1983, joined the NDA as a member of the 53 Regular Course in 2001.

Adebayo graduated and was enlisted into NN on 29 September 2006.

Married with 2 beautiful children. Hobbies include Dancing, listening to music, watching and playing football and also loves making people smile around him.

Recall that in 2021, the Minister of Defence, Maj Gen Bashir Salihi Magashi (Rtd) came under the Parade of the Commander-in-Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces, President Muhammadu Buhari to Commission and induct indigenously constructed new Nigerian Navy Ships at Naval Dockyard, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The epochal ceremony in the anals of the Nigerian Navy under the watch of the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Zubairu Gambo CFR who was the host featured the ceremonial inspection and unveiling of the names of the Ships by the Special Guest of Honour.

Performing the unveiling ceremony, he was flanked by some members of the National Assembly, Minister of Defence, Chief of Defence Staff and the Inspector General of Police among other dignitaries.

The names of the Ships alongside Hydrographic Surveillance platform unveiled include NNS Oji, NNS Lana, NNS Aba, NNS Sokoto, NNS Osun, NNS Ķano, NNS Ikene, Boats and Helicopter as well as Keel laying ceremony of SOB IV & V performed by President Buhari.

Meanwhile, well-wishes have continued to pour in for Adebayo. The NNS KADA Commanding Officer, Captain Reginald Adoki stated that he was grateful for God’s grace in Adebayo’s life.

Other notable persons, including Bishop Sam, Ige Oluwatomisin, Lt Jefff Chielo, Odekunle Olajide, Olorunfemi Oni, Akinwale Omodiran amongst others.
