Customs Officers’ Wives Donates 30 Solar Street Lights, Empower Widows, Orphans, Others In Seme Community

The Nigeria Customs Officers Wives Association (COWA) Seme Border Chapter provided for the society as part of its social responsibility to their host community.

Following the significant role and impact of the Customs Officers’ Wives Association (COWA) with the aim of giving back to society has been a positive impact on the growth of our national development through the initiative of the National Coordinator, Hajiya Zainab Abdullahi Hameed Ibrahim Ali.

In Mrs. Nnadi’s words: “The place of women cannot be over emphasized and called on all to come together and support the empowerment programme to address all forms of poverty and ignorance among women, even as she commended COWA Seme Border Command Chapter for the effort and called on all to join hands in the war against poverty especially among women.

According to Mrs Nnadi: “Nigeria Customs Service plays an important role in the economic development of the Nation.

She said that, as wives, they have a role to play in helping their spouses to achieve the expected targets given by federal government.

“Without our co-operation and support, our husband may not be able to achieve much”, Mrs. Nnadi stated.

Mrs.Chinelo Dera Nnadi commends the Comptroller General of Customs, Col. Hameed Ibrahim Ali (Rtd) for his support and approval following the establishment of the Customs Officers’ Wives’ Association (COWA).

An exclusive interactive session of COWA revealed the purpose of the visit to Seme Area Command led by Mrs. Chinelo Dera Nnadi and other delegates donated 30 Solar street lights to Customs barrack Seme.

Also the unveiling of the renovated century gate, planting of 150 coconut trees within the premises as a result of reproduction in the next few years to enhance the COWA future agenda, the high point of the event was the unaware visitation to the Atinuke orphanage Home and Badagary General Hospital to support the less privileged with Cash, Drugs, food, and beverages within the Badagry corridor and environs inline with the mood and celebration of the children’s day.

Mrs. Chinelo Dera Nnadi seized the privilege to implore COWA members to imbibe and reciprocate such ideology in their respective communities by contributing their quoter to the national development of our Dear Nation Nigeria.

Meanwhile, following the arrival and visitation of the COWA Seme Area Command on the 26th of May, 2023. Led by Mrs. Chinelo Dera Nnadi and other delegates received by the Area Controller, Comptroller Dera Nnadi mni welcome the COWA members and his Management Team with his opening remark.
