Detectives attached to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police Special Squad 1 have uncovered a conversation between the leader of a recently killed billionaire kidnapper gang, allegedly a Nollywood actor/producer named Prince Henry Ode, and an informant monitoring their latest target in Ladipo.

The police sources revealed that a member of the gang had been stationed inside the popular auto spare parts market along the Oshodi-Apapa expressway to monitor their target’s movements hours before the planned abduction. This informant provided minute-by-minute updates about the target’s location, ultimately giving the go-ahead when it was time to strike.

Chief Superintendent of Police Kehinde Oni led the squad that unearthed crucial digital and electronic information detailing the gang’s preparation for the operation. The detectives discovered a voice-recorded message between Prince Henry Ode and the unidentified gang member stationed at the market.

According to the police, they had strategically stationed eagle-eyed and heavily armed detectives in the market, who were personally selected by Commissioner of Police Adegoke Fayoade. The kidnappers arrived at the market, unaware of the waiting detectives.

The operation resulted in the deaths of the kidnappers, thwarting their attempt and preventing the planned abduction. The uncovering of the conversation highlights the sophisticated tactics used by the police to dismantle criminal operations and ensure the safety of citizens.
