OPERATION LEAVE LAGOS STATE: CP Jimoh Warns Criminals to Vacate Lagos, Vows Tough Action Against Crime

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, Moshood Jimoh, has issued a stern warning to criminals operating in the state, urging them to leave or face severe consequences.

Speaking at the annual Ramadan lecture organized by the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), Lagos Island branch, on Sunday, CP Jimoh reiterated his commitment to eradicating criminal activities in Lagos. He assured residents and visitors that the police have put effective strategies in place to make the state safer while ensuring that citizens’ rights are not violated.

Accompanied by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in charge of administration, CP Jimoh emphasized that his officers and men would intensify efforts to fight crime and maintain law and order across the state.

In response, the National President of IEDPU, Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik, commended CP Jimoh for honoring the invitation on short notice and expressed confidence in his ability to tackle security challenges in Lagos. A retired Assistant Controller General of Immigration, Abdulmalik also urged Ilorin Emirate indigenes to uphold good conduct to protect the community’s reputation.

Alhaji Sulaimon Oba Ahmed, Chairman of IEDPU Western Zone, also pledged full support from Ilorin indigenes in Lagos to ensure the success of CP Jimoh’s tenure. He prayed for the CP’s career advancement and assured continued cooperation in maintaining peace and security in the state.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including the National Vice President of IEDPU, Alhaji AbdulRauf Babatunde Issa, National Secretary Abubakar Imam, National Auditor Mallam Adam Hanafi Alabere, National Social Secretary Mallam Moshood Pakata, and National Publicity Secretary Mallam Nurudeen Ibrahim.
