Group Urges Senator To Attract More Project To Nsukka

A group, Nsukka Professionals Association (NPA) has urged the Senator representing the district, Chief Okey Ezea, to attract more government projects to ease the people’s sufferings.

He was also requested to find immediate solution to the insecurity ravaging the zone.

The group made the appeals in Lagos, weekend, through its President, Chief Charles Nwodo, during the Senator’s visit to brief members of the association about his legislative activities.

During the visit, Senator Ezea was advised to have more interactions with the people in the grassroots to ensure that his support base endures in the build up to 2027.

Nwodo said: “While we thank you for the visit, we will also praise you for staying true to your principles by remaining in the party that brought you to office. That is why we are urging you to intensify efforts by working harder than your predecessors to attract more government projects to the long-suffering people of Nsukka and to find effective solutions to the protracted insecurity problems in Nsukka zone.”

In his remarks, Senator Ezea said through his efforts, the Makurdi-Otukpo- Ninth Mile Federal Highway was being reconstructed, adding that solar powered boreholes have been attracted to all the local government areas in Nsukka zone.
He said employment opportunities have been attracted, adding that federal education and health facilities in Nsukka zone were receiving special intervention by the federal government.

He informed the NPA members including prominent members of the Labour Party in his entourage such as Hon. Harrison Ogara, Member of the Enugu State House of Assembly, Gen. Chris Eze (Rtd), Hon. Chief Matthias Omeh and other that he intends to remain in the Labour Party to continue his legislative activism in furtherance of the greater good of the people of Nsukka.
