ANAMBRA POLICE ARRESTS A SUSPECTED DEALER OF VANDALIZED EQUIPMENTS/ITEMS IN FEGGE, ONITSHA

The Anambra State Police Command has apprehended a 40-year-old man identified as Maduka, suspected to be dealing in vandalized equipment and items in the Fegge area of Onitsha.

According to a statement issued by the command’s spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the suspect was arrested on Friday, June 14, 2025, at about 4:15 p.m. by operatives attached to the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) Awkuzu, following credible intelligence.

During the operation, police recovered several items from the suspect, including bags of vandalized copper wires, a large quantity of high-tension cables, copper coils, and other transformer components.

Ikenga revealed that the suspect has made useful confessions regarding his operations, including details about where the stolen items are sold in Ogun and Lagos States.

He added that investigations are ongoing and further developments will be communicated in due course.
