A security advocacy group, Prayer and Support for the Nigerian Armed Forces and Other Security Agencies (PSNAFSA), has called on the Federal Government to urgently re-arm frontline troops and prosecute sponsors of terrorism following the killing of Brig.-Gen. Musa Uba and several soldiers in Borno State.
In a statement signed by its convener, Ambassador Mary Abayomi Fatile, the group described the slain personnel as patriots whose deaths highlight the worsening security situation. It said their sacrifices should not be overshadowed by recent celebrations over the release of kidnapped students and worshippers.
PSNAFSA urged the government to immediately provide modern equipment, platforms and logistics to ensure “total battlefield dominance,” and to expose and prosecute individuals and networks financing terror and violent crimes.
The group also appealed to Nigerians to support security agencies through vigilance, cooperation and prayer, and cautioned the media against amplifying insurgent activities in ways that could embolden them.
Fatile said PSNAFSA remains committed to advocating for the safety of Nigerians, insisting that national security must become the country’s top priority.
