In a unique convergence of military discipline and festive leisure, personnel at Forward Operating Base FORMOSO exchanged their usual parade grounds for celebratory tables as the Base hosted a vibrant Sallah party for its military and civilian staff on May 27, 26.
The event, which gathered Commanding Officer Capt. SK Haruna, officers, ratings, and civilian staff of the base, fostered an atmosphere of unity, camaraderie, and shared celebration. It underscored the significance of togetherness, mutual understanding, and the maintenance of robust interpersonal and professional relationships within the base.
A key highlight of the occasion was the exceptional opportunity it presented for informal and relaxed interaction between the Commanding Officer and the base personnel, in an environment distinctly different from the typical formal military setting. Officers and ratings shared meals, beverages, and pleasantries, thereby reinforcing their bonds of unity.

The celebration was characterized by an abundance of food and drinks, music, and moments of laughter, as personnel fully embraced the festive spirit of Sallah and the ongoing 70th Anniversary Celebration of the Nigerian Navy.
Upon the conclusion of this memorable gathering, personnel departed the venue in high spirits, feeling fulfilled and appreciative of what many described as a well-spent Sallah celebration marked by unity, happiness, and togetherness.
