The visit commenced with a courtesy call to the Emir of Kwara at his palace, focusing on collaborative efforts to bolster safety and security in the state. Discussions between the IGP and the Emir revolved around strategies to enhance peace and order, recognizing the pivotal role traditional leaders play in maintaining harmony within their territories.
Addressing officers and men at the Kwara State Police Command Headquarters, the IGP emphasized professionalism, ethical conduct, and the necessity of a community-oriented approach in policing.
He lauded the officers’ commitment while stressing the significance of earning public trust and fostering strong relationships with the community.
In his address, the IGP highlighted the essence of community policing, encouraging officers to actively engage with citizens to combat crime collaboratively.

Further discussions ensued during the IGP’s meeting with the Executive Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq, focusing on joint initiatives to ensure the safety and security of the state’s residents.
