The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended a 25-year-old mechanic, Adedamola Oluwaseyi, at Ladipo in Mushin while in the act of dismantling and trading a customer’s vehicle in parts.

The arrest followed the receipt of credible information by officers of the Mushin Division, who swiftly mobilized to the scene upon receiving the report.

Upon apprehension, the suspect was found in possession of a red Toyota Camry lacking a number plate. Alarmingly, critical components including the engine, brain box, and both front tyres were missing from the vehicle.

Further investigations revealed a disturbing sequence of events: after receiving the vehicle from the owner for repairs, the mechanic purportedly diverted it to Ladipo Spare Parts Market with the intention of selling it off in parts.

The suspect is currently in custody and will face legal proceedings upon the conclusion of the ongoing investigations.
