Tomorrow, the second edition of the highly anticipated Police Service Commission (PSC) annual awards ceremony is set to take place at the Commission’s Corporate Headquarters in Jabi, Abuja. The event, slated for December 19th, 2023, is expected to draw eminent personalities, former Commission Chairmen, Directors, and well-wishers of the Commission.
The ceremony aims to acknowledge and celebrate exceptional individuals, including Commission staff, Police Officers, and other contributors to the advancement of efficient and effective policing in Nigeria. Seven distinguished categories of awards will be presented, encompassing the PSC Appreciation award, Leadership and Service award, Philanthropy in the Police award, Stakeholders award, Gallantry in the Nigeria Police Force award, PSC Pioneer staff award, and PSC staff award.
Dr. Solomon Arase, CFR, retired Inspector General of Police and Chairman of the Commission, expressed that the awards ceremony stands as a testament to celebrating excellence within the Police Sector. He emphasized the Commission’s commitment to recognizing merit and honoring individuals who have lent their support to the Commission and the Police in fulfilling their duties effectively.
Dr. Arase highlighted that beyond the recognition of outstanding contributions, the event also provides an opportunity for Commission staff and stakeholders to unwind and express gratitude for the blessings and grace received throughout the year 2023.
This marks the second edition of the awards ceremony following the successful inaugural event held in December of the previous year, 2022.
