The Commissioner of Police for Anambra State, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam, has praised the residents of Anambra for their strong stance against illegal sit-at-home directives issued by criminal elements. CP Itam emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and public order to foster the state’s vibrant and enterprising spirit.
Today, CP Itam led police security patrols across various areas in the state to evaluate security measures and monitor compliance with operational orders. He also visited several schools where the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) is currently being held, expressing satisfaction with the security arrangements in place.
“Ndi Anambra is blessed with vibrant, energetic, and enterprising people full of potential, and this can only be fully realized in a peaceful, secure environment,” CP Itam stated. He commended the community’s resilience and commitment to preserving peace and unity.
CP Itam urged the deployed personnel to remain resolute, firm, and professional in their duties. He also encouraged residents to stay vigilant, law-abiding, and supportive of the police and other security agencies by providing valuable information to help combat criminal activities and maintain public safety.
SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the Police Public Relations Officer for Anambra State Command, reiterated the importance of community cooperation in achieving a safe and secure environment.
