The event was graced by major stakeholders in the media sector, Hybrid News, Channels TV, Nation Newspaper, Vanguard Newspaper, Thisday Newspaper, Punch Newspaper, Daily Trust and Daily Sun Newspapers amongst others, also in attendance were Senior Naval officers from the Base.
The Commander while addressing the journalists, urged them to help prevent the spread of misinformation that could misled the public he stated that he would operate an open door policy and also enjoined them to see the Navy as partners in protecting Nigeria waterways and defending the nation.
He thanked the journalist and promised a good working relationship with them. The event culminated with a vote of thanks by a representative of the journalists and a group photograph all after.
